Obituary

Celeste K Brown, 95 years, of Hillsboro, formerly of Peebles, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2019, at the Laurels of Hillsboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Hillsboro, Ohio.
Celeste was born on July 19, 1923, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Raymond and Myrtle (Johnson) Buschwoller. Celeste spent her life caring for family and home, as well as helping to run the family farm. She was a member of the Shakespeare Club, the Garden Club, the Sunshine Society, and the Haphazard Homemakers Club. Celeste and her husband Gordon served as the Peebles Old Timers Day Couple in 2000. She attended the Louisville Methodist Church until her health no longer allowed her to.
Celeste was preceded in death by her parents, and by her husband, Gordon Brown, who passed away on April 20, 2001, and a son, Jeffrey Brown. She is survived by a son, Michael (Patricia) Brown, of Indiana; and a daughter, Sharon Bentley, of California. Celeste’s passing will be mourned by her seven grandchildren and her many great- and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, in Peebles, Ohio. The ceremony will be officiated by Michael Wiseman.  Burial will follow in the Louisville Cemetery, in Peebles, Ohio.
Family and friends may pay their respects from 12:00 PM until the time of the services on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Celeste’s name to the American Heart Association, PO Box 15120 Chicago, IL 60693, or online at www2.heart.org.
