Obituary

George “Pete” Puckett, 87 years, of Peebles, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at his residence.
Pete was born in Pike County, Ohio, on February 28, 1932, the son of the late George and Dollie (Egles) Puckett. After serving in the United States Army during the Korean War, Pete worked as a Mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. Pete was a member of the American Legion.
In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters. He is survived by his wife Betty (Ryan) Puckett, whom he married on March 13, 1954. Pete also leaves behind two sons, Rick (Shelley) Puckett and Rob (Podie) Puckett, both of Peebles; and a brother, Jack Puckett, of Sinking Spring. Pete’s loss will be mourned by his six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, April 26, 2019, at the Peebles Church of Christ in Christian Union, in Peebles, Ohio. The ceremony will be officiated by Dave Hopkins. Burial will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery, in Peebles. The Adams County Honor Guard will provide military graveside services.
Family and friends may pay their respects from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday evening, April 25, 2019, at the church.
