Norman E Cox, 90 years, of Peebles, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at the Adams County Regional Medical Center, in Seaman.
Norman was born in Stout, Ohio, on August 10, 1929, the son of the late Roy and Dorothy (Hoskins) Cox. After serving in the US Army, Norman worked as a sawmill operator for Cox Lumber Company. He attended services at Burns Chapel.
In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Cox and Edgar Cox; and by a sister, Marilyn Smith. Norman is survived by his wife Rosemary (Jones) Cox, whom he married on July 27, 1957. He also leaves behind a son, Kyle (Melissa) Cox, and a daughter, Kelly DeLong, both of Peebles; a grandson, Trever Cox; and a great granddaughter, Ella Grace Cox. Norman is also survived by his sister, Shelby Kratzer, of Otway.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, October 25, 2019, at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, in Peebles, Ohio. The ceremony will be co-officiated by Bill Swango and Dave Hopkins. Burial will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery, in Peebles.
Family and friends may pay their respects prior to the funeral service, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Friday, October 25, 2019, at the funeral home.
